1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
QUICK!! Thinking of buying this car in a minute. Good deal??
The owner bought it new and has all receipts. EVERYTHING works and it runs and drives perfectly BUT it has 185,000 miles. He's firm on the $3500 but he will pay the taxes and transfer. What do you think? I'm just looking for a car my son would be comfortable in. The backseat of my Firebird isn't very big THANKS!

if you have another $3500 in your pocket to throw down within the next year for repairs then go for it.. those old bimmers are expensive to fix, my buddy had one and it was always having problems.
They will run for a LONG time if they are well maintained... so the mileage isnt necessarily a bad thing, but i would count on having to spend some dollars in repairs.

dont, the replacement parts will kill you. Try pricing a starter and or brake calipers and rotors for that thing.

bad idea - I had a car with high mileage that I kept putting money into it. I fixed one thing for $500. then another problem happened that would cost $300, and I said "hey I don't want to waste that $500, so I'll fix this too." then another problem, on and on, and eventually put in over $5000 into it, and finally suspension problem which would cost $500, and I gave up. all told, I got about 12,000 miles for that $5000 in repairs.

Burple- 1966 427 Cobra Replica
Talk about a money pit. You ever price replacement parts for a German made car? You'll get raped every time something breaks.
