    Prescriptios FTW!!!!!

Well early Monday morning I had to have my 4th surgery since last May on my right ankle. I had broke it in 3 places, torn ligaments, tendons, the cartilage in between the tibia and my foot, and dislocated it. Well the Ligament in between the tibia and fibula that had been repaired, was stretched to far so it had to be fixed or I'd risk serious problems within 5 years (It was already giving me moderate discomfort).

So anyway my Doc prescribed me Percocet and Lyrica for the pain. The Lyrica is a newer medicine. Its basically like a nerve block. It dulls everything down majorly. So right now I'm feeling great. Can't hardly concentrate or focus on anything but its great.

Cliff notes- 2 Percocets and 1 Lyrica and I'm loving my life right now.

My doctor gave me some Lyrica to take before bedtime.
I am yet to take any though...after I read the possible side effects.

Percocet are nice. Just took two.

    I hate back pain.

Paying for percocets without insurance sucks.
But...it allows me to care for Sara much better than without them.
Once I get insurance, we are going to get to the bottom of the pain. Just using pain medicine to control it for now.

I really like the Lyrica. It's not so much a pain killer as much as it is a nerve blocker. I had to start off taking it Sunday morning and I was still feeling high at around 8:30 that night but it wasn't a bad high at all. I felt really mellow and relaxed. Almost like a state of Euphoria. I do love my Percocet though.

thats the thing with back surgery, its not a sure thing that it will get fixed the first time.
way too many people have had to have surgery twice.
if there comes i time where i have to have surgery, then i will.

the problem with taking meds is the fact i get used to them and then after awhile need stronger stuff.
right now im taking some of the strongest stuff out there. the specialist wont write me for anything stronger.
luckily i dont need meds daily.

i hear ya... then the doctors think you're abusing them or selling them or some shit and won't renew... what a cluster fuck... you just can't win... i'll never have shit done with my back ever again... ever since they did the spinal tap to see if i have blood or spinal fluid in the cysts ib my spine... fuckin young guy hit my spinal cord and make the ENTIRE left side of my body spasm... my leg went with it and i kicked the son of a bitch almost acrost the room... i passed out shortly after... felt like i grabbed an electric wire... the thing that hurt the most was the tendons in my neck... some old guy with shaky hands came in after to inject teh ink in to my spinal colum (was kind of cool!!! i got to watch the x-ray on tv as he did it!!!) and the old guy even with his parkinsons earth quake hands did it with out a damned problem...

    It is what it is.

Julie and I have found a couple programs offered by the state that actually pay a stay-at-home parent. As long as the child is disabled.
The state sees it as they are paying either way....and specialized care for Sara would be $800 (or more) a week. We'll see....

    Thanks.
I have been Mr. Mom for the last 8-9 months.
Even before then, I missed a LOT of time from work with Sara's issues and that damn tooth/migraine issue.

No joke. I say those who can help themselves but chose not to do anything and mooch off others should be allowed to starve. Give the help to the people who can't help themselves and also those that are trying their hardest and still need a helping hand.

Hopefully everything works out for you guys.
