got an iPod touch for Xmas! It has wi fi internet and I am posting this from the iPod. Fucking sweet if you ask me. I recommend anyone else to buy this

nope it just goes off any wireless network, most places have wireless anyway so if you were walking thru a mall or something it will probably work.

I have wireless in my house, and it picks up networks from all my neighbors too haha

How does it (the website)look? Is it stripped down like when using cell phones?

no you see the exact same thing as on a computer, it looks smaller but you can zoom in and all that shit, and when you want to type something a touch-keyboard pops up... slick as shit!

my brother got a Cowon D2...touchscreen with a long battery life,sounds fkn great,video is good,just missing wifi.
It also has TV out support with a separate cable...

I think it is it's competitor...but probably a lot cheaper.

looks pretty cool actually!

I just snapped a pic of what LS1.com looks like on the touch just to give you an idea of the size etc.

I left the plastic on the screen so my grubby mit-prints are on it!

I have a 8gb Sandisk Sansa that does video but it only supports .mov files,,,which take up a shit load of room.
The Cowon can do divx and the files r lot smaller,but no web.
Does youtube play well on it? I need to check in on this ,pretty cool.

What r specs? 8 gigs..more?

yep it has a separate button for youtube and it plays them nicer on here than on a pc imo. Sound quality seems better too.

IPod Touch is the same thing as an Ipone without the actual Phone. You can pay $20 a month for unlimited Internet (EDGE) or Use free wifi.

With Wifi, youtube videos are in an amazing quality and sound. If you use Edge, its a little worse then PC, but still good.

i was under the impression that these devices only got internet with a service plan which would be

yea its similar to the iphone, in canada they don't sell the iPhone yet. You can get unlocked ones but they want 700bucks for one and it wont even work on my network. The youtube on wifi is fucking amazing quality! I love this thing so far

Under your recommendation I got sis the ipod touch. Now I want one lol Its by far the sweetest gadget/electronics that I've seen in quite sometime. Its really nice, it does sooo much cool shit and its simple to use. Apple really raised the bar with this product.

yea its soo easy, even I had no problems with it!

I actually had no idea it had internet until i opened it and started fuckin around with it!

This product has come So far since I got my first Ipod about 3 or 4 yrs ago, I can't even imagine in 5 years where the ipod will be, the thing will probably start your car, turn on the dishwasher, and bang your ol' lady

is there a way that she can import all her music from limewire to itunes?

yep just find the folder that all the songs are stored, usually just in the "my music" section of "my documents". Once you know where that is, go into itunes and go to "file" and select add file to library (Ctrl+O for shortcut) and select all the songs and hit ok and they will all load up.

I know sometimes when you first install itunes it asks if you want to import all songs from your hard drive and it will find them automatically... but if not then the above way will work fine.

thanks dude. that makes things way easier cause she already has a ton of music and jus got itunes today.
