2011 Nissan GT-R beat it in a comparison I saw on Speed.
Every performance category.
Of course, they didn't rate street urchin appeal.
And if you REALLY want best of all time, there's the Veyron.

people like diff things, i guess thats what he feels that fits his needs the best so in the end its the best to him....plus asking a GM base site isnt going to help b/c if you go to a porsche site and ask they going to say yes lol
the best sports car is what ever the buyer likes
i have driven Porsches and rather have a Z06 or a cobra or something along those lines, bc thats what i like and rather have

I believe it was an 01 turbo I was cruising around in for a week and that car was amazing. Not bad on the street and hugged turns better than anything I've ever been in. is it the best of all time? most likely not but that'd all in terms of opinion.

I know they're good cars, but to me they're boring.
And they have the laziest design staff ever, the car hasn't really changed much in 40 years.
I look at Porsches as cars that non-car guys who want a "cool" (or image) car buy. They think that's "the" car to have. I see a ton of them in my area, and they're all driven by either the older businessman type, or the douchy polo shirt and sunglasses at night type.
(FYI - If you still have sunglasses perched atop your head at 11pm, you're a douche)
I love how Jeremy Clarkson always rips into Porsches on Top Gear.

Did the Tech-Team Wannabe just generalize a Z06 and a Cobra against a Porsche?

The turbo is meant (including the S) for people with money who want to show off and very occasionally use a portion of its speed.
The best 911's now are the GT3 and the GT2 - all variations, very hardcore and much more raw than the turbo models.

Some of them are sharp looking but for the most part just bland and look like they are out of the 80s as others have said. Hell, I am from the 80s though and look at me dude, Im awesome!

Well, I have a turbo honda vtec pushing 1000hp that would outhandle all those cars. It also only weighs 1000lbs.

You already have VTEC.
Turbo = Unnecessary Overkill purely for the purpose of frightening children and V8s.
You should be ashamed to unleash that on the street.
If the Porsche got VTEC, its AWD traction could cause the Earth to stop spinning if it were pointed in the wrong direction when it accelerated.
