I have a friend with a GSX-R 600, too. Nice bike, but I doubt you'll catch my ass on one.

Nice, you will be able to throw it around allot easier as the weight difference is sugnificant.

You will be doing endos and 4th gear wheelies in no time, remember no fear and wear the gear!

You're suicidal or too dumb to know better. I moved from a 95 6r after riding for 6 years to a '05 10r and it was still like relearning how to ride. I sometimes wish I'd gotten the 636 instead. Wear your gear and don't do stunts on a new bike to don't want to trash. Those frame sliders won't save your fairings and headlights.
