Photobucket is down
I had a problem last night trying to post a pic requested by a member. In my account, there are photos and albums missing and this in turn has affected the content posted on our site. It appears to be a temporary issue:
Hello Photobucket users,
We experienced a problem on Sunday September 2nd that caused servers to go down. This is affecting some of you in different ways, and we just wanted to make sure you knew that our engineers are looking it, and doing their best to get everything back to normal as quick as they can.
Issues affecting users:
•Unable to login
•Images missing from the account, or websites they are linked out to
•503 error on Photobucket, not allowing you to access your account
•Pixlr editor not loading properly
•Gray pages or boxes on your account or the Photobucket website
You may experience any of these issues when accessing your account or the site. I assure you that your content is safe, and everything will be back to normal soon.
Our engineers have been hard at work on this over the past two days. A disk drive needs to be rebuilt, and that may take a bit of time to complete.
I will post another message when more information is available on when this might be resolved.
Thank you!

I use Photobucket for the express purpose of posting pictures, gif images and smilies. So, If I lose anything uploaded, not a big deal. I have my important stuff safe and sound on external hard drives.

I bet they deleted your account Jeff... You can't have nude pics of zapper on photobucket and think you're going to get away with it.

I'm in the terabyte drives, no need for externals..
I usually burn all my photos to DVD so I have hard copy.
Though some never made it to DVD for whatever reason, so when photobucket went down I lost photos from my build I could'nt recover.
All my pics are shot in HD either 8.1 or 14+ Mega-P, so large storage space is a must for me, 500 gigs just does'nt cut it.
Also I store gigs upon gigs of photos from the web just for the use of helping people here aswell so I need a sh*t ton of space.
And I have'nt even touched what I'm now storing for the H3. Then there's all the various v6 data and picks as well.. lol

PB is working fine here for me... Seems like it is a Jeff issue.. My internet provider gives storage space with each email addy... I host my own pictures.. And never worry if PB is up or down..

You aint kidding! I tried the external route, and the internal route for a while, ran out of SATA ports, and drives were filling up quick.
Coming up on 4 years worth of "for LS1.com" data alone..
The externals started eating up space in my "command center" lmao!
I am also a gamer too,, my Steam FPS games are over 10gigs each..Last edited by Smittro; 09-07-2012 at 07:07 PM.
