I love my beagle but damn, 2 of them!? Mine is/was the most stubborn thing ever. Took me a looong time to house-train him and once he turns his nose on, his ears turn off. I'd love to get a 2nd one, but I'm not sure if I can go thru that again Norris is my baby tho(2 yrs), eventho he's getting to be a fat ass.

Yeah. Thats so true about the nose on ears off, and stubborn. My oldest use to get a scent and she was gone. She would squeeze through any hole she could find in the fence. I got to the point that one day I wouldn't get her back or she'd get hit by a car. House training them included alot of sleepless nights. They wouldn't pee in the house if they knew they were being watched. I also found out that they needed to be cutoff from water at 8pm, and that also helped. Since they like to start playing at 9pm then drink alot of water. I think mine would eat that hat. Lol. The younger one listens somewhat better. I was able to work with her from the beginning.
Man your so lucky you can have yours off a leash in an unfenced yard. If I did that they'd be gone.Last edited by Frozen WS6; 04-08-2009 at 05:07 PM.

My boxer Napoleon. Year and a half old.
These are earlier pictures of him when we first adopted him. You can see his ribs in the pictures, but he's filled out a lot.
