Paint tray flew out of a truck and hit my car today
I was behind a truck today and a paint tray flew out now I have paint all over the right side of my car. Finally got the guy stopped and he was charged with having an unsecure load.
Question- the guy said it was latex paint and tried to get me to go to the car wash, which I said NO. Told him I will let a body shop deal with that.
Would it just wash off if its only been a few hours ? I am going to let the insurance company deal with it and ask for a complete paint job of the entire car. I am sure they will say it will buff off but I aint going for that.
Also where I ran over the metal tray my car pulls to the left now
Would like some advice from someone who works in a bodyshop.....thanks

It might buff off but i'm sure some clear coat will come with it...that was smart to let a body shop deal with it.

Sorry to hear about your car, but I gotta say, that paint job you had was drop-dead gorgeous!
I don't think I've ever seen that shade of purple before, was it custom?

It will wash off, get some hot soapy water before your original paint is fukd ! then rinse, latex will wash, if you wait you are fuking yourself.

Won't it be hard to get it off the plastic? Like the headlight, turn signal, grille, thing between the wipers and the hood, etc.
