owning a black car

is it really that bad to own a black car?
cleaning wise and the scratches and swirls and dirt
what do you guys think?
i found a real nice cheap black 06 z06. i really wanted lemans blue but this one is almost too good to pass up. i love the completely blacked out look like this. would i regret buying a black car?

but even being completely clean it would still show more scratches, swirls in the paint more than the other colors. i dont think it would be that big of a deal. my friend just traded in his red 05 c6 for a black 08 c6 and he was pissed about all the shit on the paint

you wont find it any worse than your EB Z06, and dark colored car will show dirt and scratched worse than a lighter colored car.

mine is NBM and it is just as much of a cunt as black

that's what they make detailing products for. Black is more work to keep clean but when it is there's no color that shines more. You can keep swirl marks and stuff like that to a minimum by caring for it correctly, that means don't just use any old towel to wash and dry it with.

i agree with this times a million. its a pita to get the car super clean, but when you do, you get compliments like no other, granted the cars paint is in great shape. its also handy to have someone whos willing to wash/wax it for you.

Always bet on black. Yes it's harder to maintain but there's nothing sweeter than a sick black car. Very worth it. And that one in particular is gorgeous.
