When I got home tonight after work I heard Benny Parsons died. That's another legend gone. Hate to see that happen. Great driver and just as great in the booth.

Yeah, it's sad to see that Benny is gone. Great guy. Got to talk to him once in the garage at a SouthWest Tour race.

He will be missed.

The broadcasts will not be the same, but the racing has not been since DALE left. We are losing all the legends.

Yea , Benny was a good guy .... I remember when he started broadcasting ....Back in the day when Jed Jarrett, Buddy Baker and all those guys were in the booth.... Not going to be the same without him..
the Racing was going down long before Dale died ...I thought it changed alot after Cale stoped racing and became a owner , very few of the old gang is left now.....

Some of his accolades = The first in nascar to qualify at 200mph.
He was champ in 1973.
He won the 1975 Daytona 500.
He reached out to the little guys (pit crew) by
offering to pay them $100 ea. for any 4 tires
and full gas pit stop 13 seconds or less and
that was when he was an anouncer.
A true good ole boy.
