Ok, so who changed out their original OS?

Who's put a MAC OS on a PC? Who's put a Windows OS on a MAC? Who's put a Droid on a Phone that came with WIN MO and vice versa.

On a serious note who's got rid of Wim Mo 6.5 and put Droid 2.2? Any issues I need to be aware of before making the change?

I've put both Red Hat and Ubuntu on multiple machines replacing Windows OS's. That was quite a few years ago.

Using CentOS and Fedora on a couple of laptops that originally shipped with XP Pro. And using RHEL on server at home that originally shipped with Windows Server 08

Linux Mint CD Live instead of Vista which has a nasty virus napping on it. I've been too busy/ lazy to fix it that plus HP didn't give the OS disc for this thing just a piece of paper saying you can recover without a disc.

Have replaced Windows many times with different flavors of Linux.

Finally settled on Ubuntu for home use and SUSE for an office machine.

To put OS X on a PC, search for Hackintosh.

Tons of step-by-step instructions on how to do it, but be aware they are hardware specific.
