How's your team looking? Future predictions? Etc.

Tigers opened the season by sweeping the bosox, finishing the series with one of the best games I've seen in a while.

This is going to be our year at the world series. We have one if the best bats in the league and we have THE best arm in the league.

Well, the Braves are off to their usual fantastic start of recent years, dropping to 0-3 against the lousy Mets. The were the last team in the league to get a hit with runners in scoring position. It's gonna be a long year for Braves fans I fear...

Braves are 0-4 after a 4 error game tonight. Awesome. One of three teams now without a win. I bet if they really try, they can be the last team to win a game...

3 games to the Mets and now 1 to Houston. Last year:

    Mets: 77-85
    Astros: 56-106

This is par for course for the Braves. The have a habit of beating good teams and choking to bad teams...

My Twins are not going to be a very good team this year. Between injuries, sub-par pitching potential, and the lack of wanting to spend money, they'll be at the bottom of the division, and also the league.

If the Tigers can stay healthy, they're the team to beat in the AL. It's hard to argue with the Rangers though. I guess we'll see!

Yeah the Twins are one of the three winless teams. But at least the Braves have the potential to be better

We got TB as we speak, winning as well, and we got the Ranger's next week. I think I'm going to go to the game on the 22nd, Verlander should be pitching. We're being tested early, that's for sure.

I'm sure Tampa is enjoying the snow, LOL.

Shocking news, but the Braves are losing so far tonight...

    -----

Well I guess I just needed to say something. A single by McCann, a double by Uggla, and a homer by Chipper and now it's 3-1 Braves... Let's see if they can hold it now for 6 more innings...

Ugh, I had completely forgotten about Tommy Hansen's annoying windup/delivery. He pulls his arm back and then pauses with his arm cocked for a quite noticeable half-second or so before throwing the ball. And everyone knows it, and he has one of the worst stolen bases allowed records in all of baseball. And sure enough, an Astros player just stole on him. I don't know why he can't smooth out his delivery, he's been like this from day one, so I don't think it's every gonna change...

    -----

Eh actually it has gotten better I guess, the announcers are talking about it, apparently he's been working on it... it's about a quarter-second pause now instead of a half-second, but still enough to let a good runner get a good jump on stealing second...

Well the Braves did manage to hold on for the win. Woo hoo, 1-4 now... Despite Tommy Hansen's pause pitching, which allowed another 2 stolen bases, including 3rd base...

JV = Justin Verlander I am guessing? Is this his first day pitching? Figured he'd be the opening day starter...

Verlander is fun to watch. I've seen him pitch a few times here in MN.

I'll be watching the Tigers/Rangers match up that's coming up. Who will who?

He was fun to watch today till the 9th inning. Things didn't go so well. He was still throwing 99mph in the 9th, with 75mph being his change up.

Pretty sure this Friday ill be getting tickets for when he pitches against Texas on the 22nd.

99mph in the 9th is pretty darn good...

    ----

Ooh, 4 runs given up in the 9th? Yikes! Yeah that'll ruin your day. But I'm glad that the manager kept him in while he was still throwing strongly. So many managers are 'by the book' and insist on bringing in the closer or relievers, even when the starter is having a good day and is still in a good rhythm...

That's nothing new for him -

He did get really wild in the 9th though for some reason.

The wild pitch he threw was 100 miles per hour, LOL.

Took the third game from TB, 5-1 now.
