not a rant....just an observation
I've been seeing some posts lately where people are linking non-sponsor sites. I believe the mods here are pretty good about not being mod nazi's over little things but the sponsorship deal is a pretty big thing. Most of the stuff I see linked are to products that our sponsors carry. I understand someone wanting to help someone out and that's what this site is about...people helping people. Just try to keep our own sponsors in mind when doing that. They stayed on board with ls1.com when others jumped ship or they've joined because they support the board and it's members so lets try to return that favor. Ok, off the soapbox.

Is the total list of sponsors under the Sponsors link above or is there a list?
Also if we post a link to a part that your sponsors dont have listed is that okay? Sometimes its hard to ask questions without providing links to sites that have the product info up.

I'm all for useing our sponsors, I have used them many times however, if someone asks where to buy something at the best price, I'm not going to lie. I spend a lot of time and reasearch to find the best deal I can. I would rather have the extra cash lying around for other mods. I have noticed several of my posts deleated because I have offered advice that the mods don't deam appropriate. Maybe they (The Mods) should delete the whole thread, post a sticky not to ask for "the best deals" and automaticly direct them to our sponsors. For me, You can't beat the prices on e-bay period!!!!
Guess this one will get deleated as well?Last edited by Jays00ss; 09-12-2007 at 04:52 AM.

Yes, to answer your first question.
Yes, its ok to post links to parts none of the site sponsors stock. If in fact a site sponsor does carry it, the link would be removed though. Some of the site sponsors do price matching as well, so that is something to keep in mind as well. You can always use the PM feature to communicate non-sponsor links to other members as well.

So I should remove my last link to www.dumbassesbuyfrommeandInevershipanything.com
My point is....it is more than a loyalty issue...we check out the sponsors and make sure they are legit.....many fucktards out there trying to pimp shit and have numerous issues.....shit don't work or is misrepresented and no refunds etc....by buying from one of LS1.COM sponsors you don't have to worry about getting ripped off....cuz we would beat that ass with baseball bats as we know where they live and where their kids go to school and shit.

I am guilty of this...without even really realizing it.
Been much more careful recently and push those to check out the sponsors list.
Many good shops/companies are sponsors here.
