Not important
Just wanted to rant about the highway robbery known as property taxes here in NJ. I went out looking at houses again today. I found one that I think I could see myself living in. Completely remodeled, nice yard, deck, garage, blah blah in a nice town and not far from where I am now so I'm still close to work. Even if I paid asking price I'd be fine, but when I saw the taxes I almost had a damn stroke. $6,149 for 2007.
I could still swing it, but I'm not looking to be house poor.
Why can't I have a shitty job so I had an excuse to just move to FL or something? Bleh!'07 MAZDASPEED6 GT

That is very high, because I only pay about $800 a year in taxes for my house.

You dont want to move to florida. We paid $280,000.000 for our 1907 sq ft house and we can even give it away now. The taxes were like $4400. We now have a 2704 house in TN. We paid $204,000.00 and taxes are like $1500. Alot more reasonable.
