No Sound Help Please

My computer has no sound, and I do not know anything about computers help please......

What type of operating system?
What type of speakers?
Sound card or Intergrated(on-board) audio?

Make sure the speakers are plugged in (to the computer and the power outlet).
Make sure the speakers are turned on.
Make sure the speakers volume is turned up.
Make sure you don't have headphones plugged in (sometimes turns off the speakers).
Make sure the volume control on the start bar is not muted.
Make sure the volume control on the start bar is turned up.
Make sure the application you want to make sound is not muted.
Make sure the application you want to make sound has its volume turned up.
Make sure the audio hardware is connected in every way required by the computed (for example, sitting properly in the PCI slot, all cables connected).
Make sure you didn't forget you were deaf.
Make sure the hardware drivers for your audio device are correct and installed.
Make sure the hardware drivers for your audio device are working as intended.
Make sure your hardware drivers or audio devices are not conflicting with anything.
Make sure your computer is free of viruses, spyware, or any other malicious piece of software that may cause unwated actions (such as your audio not working).

P.S. Don't skip the obvious stuff... I know loads about computers but have spent countless hours trying to figure out whats wrong because of the simplest things... It's their simplicity that takes so long... You just assume its already okay

Thanks for the quick replies, I got it fix. I see your both in Ga. I am in Beaufort is there anything with the F bods in Statesboro.....
