No more camping....

Well, my dad just sold the motorhome to a lady from ohio, shes coming to pick it up on tuesday, very sad to see it go since we as a family had so many fun memories in it, very sad day indeed. We saw half of the country together in it.

Theres a picture of it, that was taken a very long time ago but it still looks pretty much the same.

Sucks when somethings gotta get rid of something that you are attached to.

I'm actually camping this weekend... Just on my phone bc the boys are putting up their deer stands. It's amazing, like 75 and sunny. Last night was a little rough bc it got down to 33 but sleeping in your underwear allows for lots of body heat so it only sucked for like 10 minutes. Our friends slept in the back of their truck with a campershell and double air mattress. We have a tiny $30 tent and sleeping bags. I looooove camping. There were three deer just chillin in the field here and we heard coyotes all night then we were shooting all morning. It's good

I'm not rich, but Yea, we were gonna trade that in and try and upgrade to a diesel motorhome but the banks were being gay so we couldn't, so my dad was like fuck this camping shit it's too damn expensive anyway and decided to sell it.

They got 30k for it.

It's really not as nice as you may think it is. It's 8 years old, in the motorhome world an 8 year old motorhome seems like a 25 year old motorhome nowadays because of how far they have come within the past 5 years, amazing some of the stuff they put in those things now, that thing is shit compared to most of the stuff thats come out within the last 5 years. now. They bought that as soon as the motorhomes were about to revolutionize.

Oh, and I must say, they lose their value ridiculosly fast, you never get your money back when you buy a motorhome, that was another reason why we didn't get a new one.

For example, they bought that back in 01 for like 87k i believe, now it's only worth like 37, or 38 and they still have like 60k to pay off.

If thats not a waste of money I don't know what is...

It's not that they're all super fancy now. You just now have the option of buying a super fancy one. I'm sure they still have base models.

Yep, it's true. Stepdad still looking to buy one. You can get a base model for fairly decent, cheaper then a corvette.

What does that v10 get, 5mpg? Probably has to have the equivalent of 5.38 or so gears in a pickup to get that beast moving. Is it always kicking out of overdrive? Just doesn't seem like half enough motor for that truck.
