    need help sealing marble floor

okay, so this makes no sense on a car forum, but it seems someone here has an answer for just about every problem.

were trying to sell our house and one of the things we have on our list is to clean and seal the floor which is marble. My wife starts and gets through half of it while I'm at work.

when I get home I see that the animals have been allowed to walk on the floor. It now looks like the sealant is curing around the hair or maybe on top of it.

does anyone know a solution of how we can save this section without having to strip and start over?

can a fresh sealed floor be polished, or will a good cleaning smooth these spots out? Thanks

i'd try running a wet mop or something over it (sponge)? just don't use any acidic cleaners on it - bad for stone...
