My Poor Car
ok so this could easily get lengthy so Im just going to put down the necessary info.
Last year I bought my car with a junk A/C, i knew this, bought a new one. Well 2 weeks ago it goes out, but thats ok, only been 9 months, warrantied for 12, I take it back to the guy who did it. the compressor company went under, so no warranty, gotta pay for it. that was friday, I still have manifolds, so to get the compressor out he pulled my Y-pipe, and somehow sheered a bolt putting it back on. I couldnt hear it at first, but them it got loud. rode with that all weekend, took a few girls out, they thought it sounded cute. tuesday my car is the victim of a hit and run in the parking lot....no note left. Wednesday I get the bolt replaced, that was another $200, should have been free, i know, long story, dont worry about it. Saturday night i go to IHOP after work, while there my car gets broken into, $400 stereo stolen. Its odd though, they left my Ipod, my radar, my ODBII reader, and i even had a spare set of keys in the console. and now today my girlfriend was putting on lipstick, went to show me something on her head and smeared bright red lipstick on my tan ceiling.
my car isnt leaving the house tomorrow

No, I lived in longview originally, so a guy there did it, so i got him to replace it, but with a better part. My inspection is due so I had to get the bolt fixed soon, I dont have time to drive all the way back to LGV, so i had EE fixed the bolt. What they ended up doing was drilling out the bolt, and instead of re-threading it, they just dropped in a smaller bolt, and used a locking washer and a nut.

had to custom make a trim/anchor piece for the head unit and paint it. Bolted it to dash and bolted alpine head unit to it. ran quality leads to quality 5 1/4 hidden dash speakers. sounds great! he's saving for soundbar that we will also secureley fasten to jeep! also tore out old '90 vanilla ice 5.0 style alarm and repaired ignition!

have to disagree... if done correctly, and set up properly, a remote start is harmless. I had mine on the t/a for 3 years with no problems. Dustin--I'm not sure when i'm off again, but if you wanted to come over early afternoon one day we could knock it out pretty quick if you don't have your deck in yet!
