I hope you realize just how LUCKY YOU ARE!

IMHO, you are at fault for not telling your mom to brace herself better. Or, to go easy for the first run.
BTW, I don't give a rat's *ss what she looks like, etc. I'm talking about her willing to do that for you.

My guess is that you don't have a clue what I'm talking about.
But, you will eventually! Hopefully, it'll come when she's still around.



FWIW, "Boston" was on Monday (The Boston Marathon). My mom grew up in Mass. In retrospec, it would have been awesome to have my sister drive my mom up to be there when I finished when I ran the race many years back.

But, my head was so far up my *ss because I was running the race with my awesome mega-babe girlfriend at the time, I didn't even think to invite my mom. Even though, my mom was there at most of my races, the always supportive mom!

Doesn't matter if you're in your teens, twenty's, thirty's, forty's, etc. Trust me, when you mega screw up, or mega succeed, a supportive mom is the best!

Thankfully, my mom was at the marathon at which I set my personal best/record (PR). Nothing can ever take that away from me!
IMHO, her never-ending never-give-up support along the course was a big factor. BTW, that was a travel-to race where the weather took a huge unexpected cold downturn! WTF!! On race day, my mom ran around to every store, every person, etc trying to to find me some gloves. She somehow met/found me around the 1mile mark with gloves! NO WAY! My hands were freezing before that! Sorry, socks on the hands didn't feel right and they where screwing up my running gate big time.

Yes, after that race, I always brought a full range of weather running gear to a race!
