My friends car BLEW UP! HUGE FLAMES!!

Before u read this, i want u to know its only for entertainment purposes. im not askin for advice or anything, so if u dont have time to read the story, dont worry about it. its just for conversation and a laugh or two

well... im sorry i couldnt get any pictures, but today i had a pretty intense situation.
story:

im going to my gf's softball game and we had my friend jimmy's car beaner packed. its a 99 grand am, so it sits basically 4 and a half. we had 4 and a half ppl (i was the half, everyone else was over 200 lb other than me and jimmy lol) and we were tryin to get to the game early so we could have a cookout. so we're drivin this thing pretty hard, and its workin its ass off with almost 1,000lb of passengers, plus a bunch of shit in the trunk. were goin thru a huge town, so theres tons of lights, so lots of stop and go. we had the subs goin, bumpin in the car just to piss ppl off (i hate rap, but it was fun messin with ppl)

so were stopped at this light next to a hot chick in the car next to us. adam (shot gun) is yellin to her, asking for her number (not seriously, just to be an idiot) she gives us dirty looks, so we take off from the light leaving her behind... all of a sudden *POP!!* 'shit there goes a tire im thinkin'

the girl flies past us laughing her ass off. all of a sudden we smell burning and see smoke coming out from the floorboards, so were like "JIMMY FUCKING PULL OVER NOW" so we crossed 4 lanes of traffic immediately, pulled over and jumped out not knowing wtf was goin on.

a guy in a garbage truck stopped right behind us and started sprinting to the car with a fire extinguisher yelling "ur fucking cars on fire! pop the fuckin hood!" ohhh god...

popped the hood and HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!! biggest non-intentional fire i have ever seen! flames are shootin out of the back of the engine like crazy. guy puts it out, and says "i was behind u, and all of a sudden i saw a shit load of fire shootin out from under ur car!"

then he says "see what girls will do to u"

we were all just like

we had no idea wtf we were gonna do. a friend was driving 2 min behind us in his truck with a friend so we had 7 ppl on the side of the road pushin this car, making phone calls, trying to figure out what happened and what to do. its hot as hell right now. were 400 yards from a gas station and pushed it about 100 yards.

then the fucking transmission locks up. the shifter knob just throws freely between the gears, not making any difference. front wheels are locked like hell. cant put in neutral or anything. tried starting the car, just to try to shift, but nothing...

so were thinkin wtf happened

blew the engine? then why the hell was there a fire.
electrical problem ignited the leaked oil and gas? (there definitely was oil on the ground)
but then why the fuck did the transmission blow?

my dad was gonna come out and rent a tow dolley and tow him to the gas station at least, or back to his house (about an hour away from home)
no rental stations were open so he came out, picked up a few of us, the guy with the truck took one more, and luckily another family going to the same game came buy to pick up the rest of us.

at the end, we made it to the game and had our cookout in the parking lot.

that was a good time. we were feeding just us 7 guys, and we had 20 burgers and 18 hot dogs, a few bags of chips and a couple 12 packs of pop. yea, we overprepare a bit. good times.

jimmy called a tow truck compnay to tow the car to a pontiac dealer to repair it. the price is going to

him... the car is most likely totalled.

its not like it was an amazing car, but it was the only car he owns and his parents dont just hand him out shit, so he was really depressed the whole day. we all knew the car is basically totalled and hes just fucked cuz theres no warranty, and insurance isnt going to do shit...

moral of the story: dont try to impress girls when beaner packing a 4 cylinder car.

Lmao!! Wow. When i had my GT, i was next to a chick at a light in an acura. I gunned it like a bat outta hell, shifting hard through 4th and the next day it developed a rodknock and spun a couple bearings. high mileage modded mustangs ftl..

Wow ATC that suuuuuuuuucks.....id be scared shitless...i feel bad for that kid, i know whats it like to have only one car, (3500 Sierra), and my parents didnt hand it to me either,one day i went offroading, because i had bought new tires (and i didnt realize that truck was a 1-ton and went through a puddle that seemed to be 2 feet in reality was about 4...not a good night...but thats life..shit happens and you just try to run away from the fan as hard as you can

yea we really thanked him alot. he jsut got up and left tho, so theres really no way we can now. its cool ppl like that that make the world a better place
