My bro got hit in the face with a softball (pics)

My brother had a softball game yesterday, or the day before, and he went to get a ground ball. As he was going to glove it, it hit a little mound where the outfield and the infield meet, and jumped up right into his face. I'm leaving in a few minutes to take him to the doctor to get some X-rays. I will post up the results of the doctor visit when I get back.

So, the MLB is obviously out of the question?

Looks like he took that advice already. He just took it a little too literally.

UPDATE: Went to get X-rays, and they didn't give him the results, but they sent them to his g/fs moms doctor, so I will know the results soon.

we cannot by law give out results to patient even though if its obviously something is broken or fractured.

My younger brother had the exact same thing happen to him his freshman year in college while playing baseball. Whent to catch a ball and it popped up into his face and broke his jaw in 3 places. He was benched for the rest of the year. Luckily it was only there second or third game of the season so they didnt count it against his 4 playable seasons, so now he is taking 1 class this year to play his final season.

Oh the best part was eating ribs and stuff like that in front of him while his jaw was wired shut and he had to be on a liquid diet.

Hope fully he does not have a orbital fx
The orbit is complexly constituted. It is made up of parts of six bones: the frontal, ethmoidal, lacrimal, and sphenoid bones and the maxilla and zygoma. A break in the orbit portion of one or more of these six bones is an orbital fracture.

can lose sight in that eye if bad enough.
