    More Hollywood Thieft

War Games, along with Mr. Mom, RoboCop and Poltergeist are getting remade.

Why can't they leave them alone?

Because they learned that remakes could be so much BETTER than the original.

Just look at how great the digitally remade original Star Wars and E.T. were.

    Oh wait....they sucked

These will too. But hey, they'll pull in a fast buck without having to pay someone to, you know, come up with a story.

Sometimes a remake can be much better, like the Thomas Jane Punisher vs the Dolph Lundgren one.

    And..

    And...

    Still thinking here...

    OK, I'm out.

Robocop probably wont be bad, but how the fuck do you remake something like Mr. Mom? It was funny because of Michael Keaton and the way he delivered a good convincing all american dad, now they are gonna make it really cheesy and over the top with like luke wilson or something.

The new one will be a Mac Mini with the voice of Steve Jobs.

I'm waiting for the RoboCop remake. Been a fan of the original since it came out. The Criterion Collection is awesome.

If Done right, Robocop could be awesome. I don't see them doing a better job than the original, though.

It is cheap for them to recycle the same sh*t over and over again. It gives them (studios) an opportunity to resell our youth back to us and reach a new demographic. My feeling is I don't give a rats ass, as long as I get some work out it. I am a 1st AC. I do prefer the independent/low budget movies, they seem to have better stories and little cgi gayness. It's all about making the most money.

I live for the day where they just stream movies to your home. No more gouging of concessions, no more having to hear ray-ray talking on his cell phone opening up home brought chicken in tinfoil.

They had the footloose trailer playing last night at theaters. It looks awful. Thought it was another cheap dance off movie till they started showing the plot line.

    was it like this???

middle america town suffers from tragic loss of life, blames music and dance, bans it, few yrs later new kid moves to town. turns the kids against the parents and town leaders, kids have a dance, parents/town leaders see their faults and let teen pregnancy take its course.

oh way, forgot to say all of this to gay 80's music........
