    Me and Ed are fighting

I say we should have a premium LS1.COM membership....like $50 bucks a year ( or less I dunno)...for that you get to listen to XM ( any channel you want) the entire time your on the site....ls1.com email address ...unlimited.....I dunno all kinds of shit....of course a special avatar identifying you as a supporter of the forum.....lots of stuff.....Ed sez you folks have no money cuz you put it all in your cars....I say bullshit....most folks dont go around blowing up every motor they drop between the fenders like my lil buddy Ed.....
So if we come up with some of the above features etc. what do you guys think ( stay out of this TAP men are talking).....is $50 to high? Mebbe $25? I dunno...we are trying to expand and update the place...offer more features etc. I thought this would be a good way to do it....Mebbe we can pay for some counseling for Mr. Luos...get that boy straightened up.....

I think it is a steal if you can get XM for $50 a year (Id rather have Sirius because of Stern until the full merger pulls through.) But I don't know if it would take off. I would cancel my sirius subscription if I could stream it all day on here. Why not make a poll and seeing how many people actually have work computer access for the majority of the day or have an Iphone to stream it on.

    Ed is right.

Low priced "premium" membership programs often work but the benefits are very limited. Some sites even have the ability to use a personal avatar as a benefit of a premium benefit.... Ten or fifteen bucks a year is about it for a low end premium membership... Some sites include a "blog" option for premium membership as well.

A higher end membership, with XM as a benefit could be a "supporting member" option but I think you will find only a few people will take advantage of it. Consider the NHRA membership package and scale the LS1 offering appropriately.... For fifty bucks you get a hat, pin, decal, and XM for one year...... Offer the ability to purchase multiple years at a time.... Sponsors may appreciate that option depending on their budgetary requirements.

However a low end option for the regular impoverished car lover should be the priority.

    Sadly now demodded :(

I wouldn't mind paying for extra feature options. I already do this over on Team Camaro.

i would assume that nothing would change on the site other than offering the benifits of becoming a premium member...

Although this isn't a bad idea, many of us post during our working hours and wouldn't purchase the premium membership cause we wouldn't use it. I already have several email accounts between personal and company. I can't listen to music at work. I'm sure I'm not the only one that wouldn't want to spend money on something I wouldn't get to enjoy
