Mama and the Russian

Off the back porch I was a blasting away with my Russian SKS rifle.
Mama walks out and sez give me that thing. I about had a heart attack. She is a pistol gal and I have seen her shoot a rifle maybe 2wice in 26+years. And that was a .22 cuz she was pissed at some cats. Now this SKS is fairly heavy and had about 8 rounds left in the magazine. 7.62MM rounds.
I used to have a rain gauge on a post about 50 yards from the back porch on a old cedar post. She always bitched that it was ugly and didn't belong there.
She wasted it and the post in rapid fire,smiled....handed the rifle back to me and walked off.

Well I got another 1000 from a guy this morning for $200...so I have around 1800 rounds....mostly Monarch and Golden Bear....some Wolf...

just watch out with those coated shells.....if you are shooting alot in succession or rapid fire, the coating on those Bear/Wolf rounds can start to melt off. It can cause a lot of gunky build up in your chamber and its not fun to get out. Just one of the down falls of those types of rounds.

Yeah I fired of 50 rounds in the SKS and another 50 in the .223 today. Just cleaned both of them. I use Remington Bore Cleaner. Then Hoppes #9.....then the "copper brush"...then I run patches till they come out totally clean. I clean the bore/bolt everytime I shoot. Wipe 'em down with light oil and a rag. Pledge Lemon ( I like the smell) the wood. After about 500 rounds I totally break everything down/soak/lube and reassemble. The SKS has a funky firing pin with no spring. So I just use brake cleaner and no oil. Rattles around in the bolt....sorta weird but works.

I fired a shitload of this stuff the other day. It is very very clean and shoots very well. I ordered another 500 rounds of it.

Phh,,zombies. The least intimidating killers of all time. Seriously, my grandma could walk faster than they do. They never wield any weapons, so a simple metal rod would yield a huge advantage over them. Anyways you would be to busy cleaning your guns with your pledge dusting spray while the real men like me would be out there with louisville sluggers saving America.
