Make her a sleeper?
Such a dillemma here. I just bought a 2002 Camaro Z28 M6 out in Toms River for when I move back to NJ. It has a single outlet exhaust and chrome Z28 badges. My dillemma is install a dual outlet exhaust or de-badge it and make it a sleeper. Advice?

My thought on it is that a Camaro can't be a sleeper.

quiet exhaust and a cutout/turndown for when its time I would think would REALLY add to the sleeper effect.

Make it look like a V6 version. Take badges off, put shitty v6 wheels on, and use cutout. But then what? You just have an ugly Camaro.
People always think twice before they roll up on a Camaro.
If they don't they are either stupid or well prepared. Either way no need to UGLIFY your ride. It is what it is."I am the executioner. When a crime is committed and the exalted state does not take vengeance nor move to punish, then comes time for the executioner to declare himself. I have waited long enough. The criminals are hereby sentenced to death. By fire. By earth. By water."

anthracis has a good point, unless your car is ugly and beat up and has sagging rear springs

No, like new paint. SO you guys don't think I could get away w/ it just by de-badging it? I mean, take it in another perspective.
You have a Camaro that pulls up and revvs at you in your 2004 Mustang GT. You see the single outlet exhaust and no badges, so you laugh and hit the gas...and he eats you for dinner.

I can see the point in doing that.
Hell...if I owned an SRT-4, I would remove the hood and wing and badge it an SXT.

Yup. I'm just internally spoiled though...I refuse to give up on the LS1's and drive a POS. I'm driving an 85 Astro van in the interim and it f'n sucks, I just can't do it. People cut me off with no mercy, and I miss pissing them off when they try that shit.
Here's how I came out good though. My 2000 Z28 A4 w/ 70k miles was wrecked due to a comprehensive claim. I paid $11995 for it w/ 47k miles 2 years ago, got a total of something like $15,500 from ins...turned around and bought an 02 Z 6-spd w/ 27k for $13,200 and put the remaining money to insure it for the year
Plus I'm getting a 4k check from FAFSA to put toward Rutgers and scoutted out $5,500 in scholarships, so I can't complain...yetLast edited by myk02k; 07-15-2007 at 08:19 AM.

Man what insurance company do you have? I need to sign a policy with them and drive my car into a tree if they are gonna pay out way more than the car is worth.
