Looked at a Shelby GT today
Wife and I went to the Chevrolet lot to look at tradin the Avalanche off for a new Tahoe. Well, we also went to look at the Expeditions too on the Ford side of things. Sitting outside is a Shelby GT. NOT A GT 500. It was a white auto with light grey stripes. I just thought it was REALLY funny to see a bogus scoop on the hood that looked pop riveted on. I lifted up on the front a tad and it separated from the hood of the car. No, it didn't break. It was just loose and sloppy. I laughed my ass off. I took note of the dash plaque and wondered how a man like Carrol Shelby could sign such a thing.
BTW, The new Tahoes are SWEET.

Im not positive but i think that scoop is double sided taped on. I think the hood does have alignment holes too but im not positive. The scoop is does not take in any air or release any air I can testify to that. That shelby gt is a sharp looking car but nowhere near worth the money they want for it. You can buy a used 05 mustang gt for a decent price and then buy the handling and power pack from ford racing performance parts over the counter or on the phone for way cheaper. Thats all it is, a mustang gt with bolt ons and suspension work. It handles awesome though. But its a prime example of both ford and shelby taking advantage of their partnership. On a business standpoint I cant blame them. Its jus making for some very overpriced cars. On the dealer end anyways.

Damn right they are. I checked them out at the New York auto show and was amazed by how nice the interiors are. Just a sharp truck altogether. I'd love to see how they drive. I wonder if they still have that overly sensitive gas pedal. Lots of chevy trucks I've driven have really sensitive gas pedals when you run over bumps and what not.

I think all trucks have a super sensative pedal, my dads 05 F-150 has a really sensitive pedal too.

I agree that the new GM trucks/suv's are badass!
You should have asked to take the GT for a rip while you were at the stealership!
