    1975 camaro

look what soone offered me for my 75 camaro...

i got this email from a guy that saw a craigslist add i posted about wanting to trade for a 98-02 fbody.

    heres his email...
    Hey man,
Saw your ad on craigslist for your 1975 camaro and saw that you might be intrested in a trade for a newer camaro? I have a 98 camaro but its in really nice shape! paint is recent within the last couple of years and since ive owned it ive made it into a drag/street car. It is quite peppy if you know what i mean. The car itself has a little over 63k miles on it but the motor has about 6k on it. Havent taken it to the track yet but i think itll run a high 9 or so. I built a 382 CID which is an LS1 motor bored out and stroked. has a fast 90mm intake, trickflow heads, diamond forged pistons 13.5 to 1 compression, comp cam, eagle forged crank hooker headers... ext. as for the trans it has a madmann th400, 4000 stall ext... the rear is a moser built 12 bolt with 4:10 gears.
suspension all been redone and the wheels are new. ALOT on this car has been done.
Would love to trade for a classic like yours!
Let me know what you think and get back to me and maybe we can do buisness and trade!
    Thanks
    Jeff

No matter how built or clean that 98 is, it won't come close to what that 75 will be worth in just 10 years.

I don't think a safety bumper camaro will be worth much for a while. Don't worry about years in the future imo man.

    You may be surprised.

Nothing like kicking yourself in the ass for the rest of your life for selling a car.

    I would know

75 was the most undesireable of the second generations. only model was the lt. just a plane jane camaro from 75. but you do have a point, its my daily driver tho and i just cant work on it and rive it at the same time, if i had another car to put around in while i parked the 75 and worked on it i would in a heart beat. i just cant do both

I don't think you will want the new car for a DD.

I understand. I sold my both my Chevelles for reasons somewhat out of my control. But, I'll never get over it.

You've got to do what you've got to do.

But, like Brian said... that 98 is no DD

hmmmmm.....I'd be extremely careful. I've seen that pic somewhere before. Seems like someone was selling that car extremely cheap. Been a few months but that pic is definitely familiar to me.
