Omfg i wouldnt dream of hurting my baby that much. You'd really have to hate your car to do that for that long. I hope he atleast had a line lock.

My longest was 30 to 40 seconds, I did it 3 or 4 times to get the avatar photo. I actualy went in the shop where I work and put the front tires on the back so I could go out in the street and do more. The pavement is still marked where I did it and still melted! I was also installing my new Goodyears on Too Fast so I wanted to get it out of my system for a while. It worked, I have been really kind to my tires the past 22 months.

Without a linelock he can warp brakes.
Otherwise...mostly just tire damage. Puts a little stress on the tranny, but once spinning, not much.

Well as long as you're atleast a little bit smarter than most of the jackasses that bounce it off the rev limiter a hundred thousand times. Then you got about 3 minutes of that until you see a rod fly through your hood.

Btw, for a linelock, isnt it impossible to move and then stop again while still spinning the rears? I thought they were engaged by a switch that leaves the pressure on the fronts only after you let off the pedal...so once you get back on the pedal, it restarts the process and you cant reinitiate the lock until you stop spinning the tires...

You should see the skid marks in Spaz's boxers. I'm pretty sure that it takes the cake for the longest burn out.

Really, The engine is not what is being stressed during a burnout.

Yea, when you do it right. Im saying when you bounce it off the limiter a lot, then its being stressed. You cant tell me revving to 6500rpm, off and on, for a minute or more is good for it...
