What did he do, accidentally downshift when he meant to go up?

That is funny though. "Omigod! Omigod!!!"

    Hit 2nd instead of 4th

Love the way he slips the clutch into 2nd. Classic ricer.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

i went to 3rd instead of 6th a few time at about 100+...that was loud to say the least. But I was able to pull it out of gear before over-reving, not to mention, kept the car straight too.

    ONLY A FUCKING IDIOT MISSES A 3RD TO 4TH GEAR SHIFT....INTO SECOND......

first off, if you miss the 2nd to 3rd shift, that is understandable, happens to even pros. (but they dont go back to 1st, they just miss the gate)

but to throw a 3-4 shift into 2nd, is just fucking stupid and beyond amatuer.
proof the dude does not know how to race manual trans.

NOTICE THE HAND POSITIONING- he is palming the front of the shifter WRONG!!!
When up-shifting, its palm to the inside....

I have done it. Known plenty of LS1 owners that have done it as well.

That is the shift that most people with an M6 bend their pushrods on.

"We're gonna get busted for street racing". yes officer, I was up to 47 when the accident happened.

I've never missed 2-3, but slipped 3-4 into 2 once. Scared the piss outta me. I was back on the clutch like a mother.

    agreed....

I did it once when I was in highschool driving my fiero 2m6. I was racing a turbo dodge daytona, and throw 3rd into 2nd.

I told my father about it(my dad used to circuit race corvettes late 70s early 80s). He called me a fucking idiot and said there was no excuse for that. I spent a whole weekend making laps around blackhawk farms (local road course) with my father sitting passenger getting on my ass for any poor shifts or driving.

Since then I have never missed a shift, except 2nd to 3rd a couple of times being impatient with the clutch pedal

I haven't done it for quite some time myself.

    Been at least 4 years...
    Short throw helped.

I remember where I was when I did it though. Had the clutch back in almost insantly. Was fairly new to the car, and was shifting fairly lazy...just slipped it into 2nd instead of 4th.
