A little advice on new A/V receiver

OK......I am looking to get a new AV receiver, and I am wondering if anyone has any advice or picks on what they would buy with the following criteria.

    1)Must be under 700$
    2)Must have 3HDMI inputs
    3)Must be 1080P
    4)Must be available in black
5)Must be a minimum of 100w per channel and 7.1 available at less than .1% THD

I think I am going to go with the Sony str-da3300ES any reason why I should or shouldn't or any other opinions?

I have a couple of questions about this? How can a receiver be 1080p? Why do you even have to go through the receiver or what is the benefit. I have an older yamaha 5.1 with no hdmi.I run my hdmi from comcast box to tv. I have digital optical out on the tv to my yamaha tuner. Are not alot of broadcasts still only in 5.1? Is 7.1 basically for movies. Sorry for all the question in somebody else's thread. How is something like this?

Check out this Marantz my partner has one and the sound quality is awsome to say the least. All his speakers are Paradigm which helps too.

It upconverts it to 1080p if it is not that quality already internally. The benefit is if you have multiple components that use HDMI cables and you have limited amounts of inputs on your TV. Broadcasts are mainly in 5.1 and not 1080P unless you have blu ray or HDDVD.

So my comcast hd box only does 1080i. I can go through a receiver and have everything upconverted to 1080p? Like most dvd players upconvert. My plasmas are only 720p anyhow so is it still really worth it?

Even most Blue Rays are only in 5.1. I have had a 7.1 Onkyo receiver for a couple of years and i think I have yet to watch a movie that takes advantage of it and I have Blu Ray.
