Hmmm wonder what happens when I push................

Last time I was @ Kennedy space center in Fla. they had a simulation cockpit you could look at.

Don't know if you can anymore though..

I remember when the first Shuttle flew (Columbia) back when they still painted the main fuel tank white.... Shame..

Don't worry. All is not lost in the US space program.

Even though the VentureStar SSTO is cancelled, NASA will get right on their new mission of reaching out to Muslims to make them feel better about their scientific contributions to society.

sad to see it go...truly the end of an era. being 27 this is the only spacecraft i've ever known. i mean...i know about mercury, gemini, apollo, apollo-soyuez, and skylab...but this...this was the only spacecraft thati ever saw fly. got to see the columbia land in an early morning sunrise back around 1996 and it was absolutely amazing. also went to space camp a few times...yeah it's no comparison to flying the shuttle by any stretch of the imagination...but the simulators are pretty sweet and they really immerse you in the experience...with a little imagination you really feel like you could be on board. unfortunately will never get to know that special feeling like i always dreamed of as a kid.
