The Last Chevrolet Monte Carlo comes off the line Wednesday, June 20th at 11:00am

"There are special plans for the last two Monte Carlo models. The last model will be placed in the General Motors Heritage Centre, a contemporary meeting facility filled with 100 years of automotive history, located in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

The second to last Monte Carlo production unit will be sent to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to appear at the Brickyard 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race on July 29. All Chevrolet race drivers will sign the car and it will be sent to Charlotte, North Carolina for auction."

I'm sure it wont be a big loss for GM, I'm pretty sure they didn't make much money off that car.

chevy finally gets the front end and body shape correct and they kill the car. way to go dumbasses.

the impala probably won't be going rwd anymore due to the emissions restrictions. the monte was originally supposed to stick around and go rwd with the impala but then they decided to cut the monte when they decided to bring the camaro back.

of course now they will have to come up with a new car to fill the mid size coupe slot.

i still have my '96 monte for my winter car. i love her to death even though she pisses me off.

    RIP monte carlo...again...
