Lol wow i can't believe I have never seen this before. I have been collecting swords and sword fighting since i was 3. Me and my dad would watch this guy on the shopping network just so we could laugh at all the incorrect completly uninformed statements he would make. Those katanas are from pakistan and are at the very very bottom of the quality list right above aluminium swords. BTW even a good katana hit hard enough on its side will brake, they are very hard blades and dont flex like almost all other types of swords. They are made to take blows to either the front or back of the blade never the side.

dumbass... the swords on any home shopping show and in most catalogs are decorative swords. Anytime a blade says 440 carbon or stainless, its a useless sword. Yes you can stab and cut someone. However for actual sword fighting or any functionality, you want a sword that is spring steel.
