Just read this...cat story
Damn funny I thought.
Well... here is the short version of what happened...
Caryn lit some candles... lined up on the dresser.
Laying in bed and hear the *thump* of a cat jumping up on the dresser... we have 2 so I looked to see which one it was.
It was caryns big tigerstriped lump of a cat Morrison.
I see him step over the short candles and get a confuzed look on his little round and mostly vacant kitty face.
"what the hell is that stench and why is my belly hot?"
Then suddenly he has a moment... a striking moment of clarity... as he, much like the early cavemen... discovers fire.
His fuzzy underbelly erupts as he jumps 3 feet straight up from the top of the dresser.
You must understand that the most active this cat gets is when he chews food and pushes yet another cat turd out into the litter box.
He comes down with a crash like a '53 buick hitting a stack of grand pianos... and stops.
Apperantly trying to figure out what spurred him into such vigerous movement.
Caryn jumps out of bed to check on him as I curl up in the blankets to try and smother the laughter bubbling up inside of me.
As I pull my face out of the blankets my nose is assaulted with the acrid odor of singed cat fur.
I look over to see caryn cradling him on his back like a baby and rubbing his stomache.
He has mostly calmed down since the 5 seconds before when he was ablaze.
the cat doesnt get too stirred up about things
I mention to her that her hand now reeks of fried fur... to which her response is to smell it.
yep... stinky cat fur.
The cat slowly and quietly strolls out of the room into the living room to lay on his back and ponder why the house now smells like the 3rd level of hell... and what we must have done to make it like that.
Sometimes I envy that cat and his lack of concern... for anything.

We had a cat that liked to get on the stove top. One day she backed into a burner and set her ass hair on fire. Even my wife thought it was pretty funny. It didn't burn enough to actually hurt her. You should see how fast a cat can move with it's ass on fire.
