Hoyer isn't a slouch.....not sure he's a franchise type QB but he's a decent QB. Reminds me a lot of an Alex Smith type QB.....he'll always be consistent and take care of the ball but probably never get over that hump into elite status. I don't see JF knocking Hoyer out of a starting job this season so the only way he gets on the field is if Hoyer is injured or the team is really stinking it up which is definitely a possibility when talking Cleveland. The troubling thing I've seen so far are his team mates saying Hoyer is the guy. When you don't have the locker room on your side you have 1 foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. I don't really pay attention to what the media says about him because their job is to just stir shit up to make a story where there may not be one. I'll wait and see what happens on the field before passing judgement.

that's an easy call.....browns fans live in a world where every year is a new year and they have a chance at greatness. They still call the shitsburgh game a "rivalry" even though they're 5-31 against them going back to '94. You have to go all the way back to 1988 to find the last time Cleveland swept shitsburgh. Yet every year browns fans go in thinking they have a shot at winning against shitsburgh. Odds say that's not going to happen.
