Insurance
So I'm in persuit of getting a 98+ F-body, so I have the horrible worry of insurance, mainly because I'm still 18.
My record is clear, no wrecks, no dui's, and only one ticket(seatbelt).
I plan on buying the car cash so I can put it on liability to hopefully ease the payments.
Right now I'm with statefarm with my parents so that helps some, just wondering if being with my parents is enough? Would I be better to switch to a differnt company? Any chance of saving that way? Right now we get seperate bills.
So my real question is: What do you guys pay insurance wise? Please include your Age, location, year of car, and type of coverage.
Thanks. I'm really hoping he insurance won't be over 1,600 or so a year. Probalby a fool hardy dream?

I am in a very similar situation to you RainDownmyBlues
18, state farm, clean record, good student discount, safe driver discount, and its on the same plan as my parents. $2500 year - full coverage. I live in chicago - the highest insurance in illinois. I know it will be cheaper down by you becuase my sister moved from chicago to champaign and hers dropped by like 1/3. So i would guess you will be under $2500 hopefully. But don't even dream of full coverage on your own plan. State farm told me $6500 a year for that.

You should be able to stay under $1600 on your parents. On your own its not going to happen when I got my car at 18 I was paying $1300 for 6 months on my own policy. Now 3 years later and another company I only pay $700 every 6 months.
