If your Hood and Windshield got in a fight.....

Who would win??

Of course this is purely hypothetical

My guess would be if you have a fiberglass suncoast creations "raptor" hood that your windshield would be perfectly in tact if your hood popped up at 80mph but the hood struts would be destroyed, the rear corners on the hood would be snapped, and the center of the hood would splinter pretty good.

Man this sucks.. nothing can ever just be perfect. On the plus side though I already needed a new front bumper and paint job that I was to be getting soon anyways.

My buddys eclipse did that at 110 while racing me... I heard a pop and then looked back to see him trying to slow down without hitting anything.

At least you didn't do something stupid like put the hood up while your windshield wipers were up. Pretty sure your windshield loses when that happens. Not that I've done it.

well I recently put a bra on my car and sometimes it gets in the way of the headlights so I have to pop my hood to get them to open and then push it shut again. Well I guess it didnt shut all the way. I was testing out my transmission because I was having issues with it yesterday and I went WOT up a street by my house and when I hit about 80 then it popped up and slammed back. I was too busy to take pics but I will do it tomorrow. Hood still closes and doesnt look THAT bad from a distance but the whole hood is definatly warped, splintered and busted. I removed the hood struts at work today because the metal bracket snapped off so I cant use them again. I am going with another raptor hood, I already had minor front end damage and was in need of a paint job anyways.
