I am doing different Headshots for my Acting Class.

My favorite period is the 1950s.

So for class, I am trying to capture the “coolness” of the 50s Actors.

Elvis, James Dean, Marlon Brando.

Do these pictures look cool?

If so, I am going to use them as my Headshots.

Also, this is the last topic like this that I will post. I know you guys think it’s stupid, but I just need opinions before I use this stuff in my Class.

I personally think you may have already taken to many shots to the head....might not want to risk anymore.

The lighting and quality of those pics suck....the look is fine but you may want to use a better camera.

dude dont use a 50's camera when you take your 50's head shots. wear a white shirt and wear a bomber jacket, you could get a james dean look goin

I know that.

These are not the headshots. They take the “official” headshots at a studio.

My project was to find the style and look that I wanted for the headshots.

The teacher then grades on uniqueness and all that kind of stuff.

Then you get a studio quality headshot in the style you chose.

jesus. Go to school and make something out of yourself. Acting? are you kidding? you and the rest of washed up actors out there serving tables at the local Denny's. Get a life. If you love the 50's then enjoy it, remember it how it was. Don't try to be one that look like they are from the 50's. They are many like you, and they are gathering together for a group meeting at your local mental institution. You should check it out, I hear they have doo-wop tuesdays there. You will love it.

Screw that.. Go for your dreams.. The world is full of broken people that never even attempted to reach for their dreams at all...Even if you never ever make it, at least you TRIED. I ain't saying I am into Acting, or any of the Drama Club stuff.. But that ain't MY dream.. I freaking blew my dreams and I can tell ya, looking back I sure as shit wished I had TRIED... On the other hand.. Asking a bunch of Red meat eating, V8 driving red neck MoFo's for advice on this subject is a piss poor idea..Looking at another man posing tends to give us the willies... Hope your skin is thicker than that picture indicates..Really not sure what prompted you to use this particular forum .. but whatever crisps your pickle..

Honestly, I say go for your dreams while you're young and can afford to start over (if you fail). And be prepared to FAIL majorly. It happens to most of us.

I tried several things before I settled on what I've done for the last 30 years (which was kinda like a "fall back" dream anyway).

Screw the naysayers here. They'd fuck with you no matter what you did. And it's not like you didn't post some shit that couldn't have been fucked with anyway....

Most big time actors were probably told they were crazy or not worth shit at some point
