I left work tonight, found my car like this!!
I left work tonight, and this is how i found my car when i went to get in. I was fucking pissed!!! Turns out...it was done by one of my co-workers. Somehow, he backed into me without even knowing. I called him up and discussed it, and he didn't know he did it, so i drove by his house and looked at his trailer hitch, and sure enough it had some paint transfer. Just glad he has full coverage.
Could a mod please change the title to: "I left work tonight, found my car like this!!" ? I tried.

Nah..i cant do that. I work with him, and i'm friends with him (just not that much outside of work). It pisses me off too, but as long as it is taken care of by the insurance company, i wont be that upset. If not, then i'll make him pay for it out of pocket. There are only 8 people employed at the store i work at, so its not like i barely see the guy.

I could see him hitting you with his trailer hitch and not knowing, especially in the snow. The way it hits, he wouldnt feel much really. The point of the trailer causes the body panel of your to crush much easier.

Now wait a minute guys...I drive trucks also and the "impact" is lessened greatly when you bump into something especially with a towing package. They build them this way to eliminate feedback from the trailer so don't go getting all in the truck drivers shit because he didn't know he hit something......

Yeah...well i just got an estimate. $2,641.08. The car only KBBs at like $1,900. Its actually in really good shape, and i DO NOT want to total it over this, but i dont want to put a junk yard door on it. I've got 2 or 3 other places i'm going to go to before i decide what i am going to do.
Yeah. Its actually a really nice car. Not a fan of Wrong Wheel Drive, but it does pretty well in the snow. 9 way power leather seats, heated mirrors, keyless entry. I do wish it had heated seats, but it is a really nice ride. Best thing about it is it was free!! Gotta love mommy. She bought a new car and i got that one.Last edited by kickflippin1; 01-20-2009 at 11:39 AM.

Let them total it. They will cut you a check and then you buy it back for scrap value. Buy yourself a junk yard door and be way ahead in the long run.

I'm going to try. I know this guy who is insane with body work and paint. He has done all kinds of crazy show cars. I am going to see him tomorrow morning and see if he can give me a good deal. I've seen a car he did with a $30,000 paint job. It won top 5 in some National event. '69 Camaro with an LS7.
