I just saw Star Trek
Awesome movie, went with my girlfriend and we both had a great time!
They managed to take that old spirit and adapt it for a state-of-the-art scifi action flick. And the cast is good, too.
If you like Trek, go see it.

What if you don't like Trek.... is it still a decent flick? Will I have to sit next to some dork in a Klingon outfit?

i'm having a hard time with the new stark trek film. i was honestly never a huge fan of the original series although i fully respect the impact it had on popular culture etc.
at any rate i must admit that i am pissed with what they did with the enterprise. it looks virtually NOTHING like the ship from the original series. it seems that if you are making a prequel that you would at least try to make some small attempt to get the look of the ship similar but apparently they decided that they needed a creative outlet rather than trying to remain true to the franchise.

Decent flick: yes
Klingon outfit: no
i always liked trek, not in the crazy fan kind of way, but seen it all. so it's hard for me to judge, but i'm pretty sure a non-trekker will still have a good time, tons of action, a lot of laughs. special fx are awesome, some of the best i've seen in a while.

Wolverine is a perfectly fine entertaining movie...if you are are comic book reader you might not like it though, cuz apparently dead pool didn't get enough screen time and there a few flaws in the movie...if you aren't too nitpicky like me and don't try and find flaws; i'm sure you will like it.
So far Star Trek is getting great reviews, can't wait to check it out since I know NOTHING about it.

I was into the original Star trek tv show and have probably seen all 80 episodes over a dozen times each......that being said, it was made in the 60's on absolutely no budget (they borrowed most of the set props from other shows) so if they make lots of changes to the set from the original it will definately be a plus lol
my list of movies to see at the theaters this year =star trek, wolverine, iron man 2, transformers 2

Sebring Silver- 00 Camaro SS/09 LS3 Vette
Everything.
The acting was sub par. They make Wolverine into a whiney bitch. There are SO MANY movie cliches in that film. IE explosions behind the character walking away, scraming "NOOOOO" at the sky when the broad dies. The story was stupid, the final fight scene people were laughing at.
It was worse then X3.
I didn't understand how Wolverine can dodge everything, lasers, helicopter blades, but he can't get away from a revolver with special bullets. IT's so fk'n stupid.

If he didn't lose his memory, then how would x1,x2, and x3 work?

I'm still going to go see it, but thank you for the honest reveiw, before now all I had heard was the oohs and ahhs like it was going to be the best movie ever lol atleaast it doesn't have Steven Segal in it so it can't be as bad as one of his movies.....or I hope its not
