I am so excited!!!
Well, to anyone that knows my last few months history it has been a bit up and down. Well today I said fuck it and decided to spend some of my savings towards my H/C/frame up restoration I purchased some super clean (talking no carbon, most likely because it was cleaned prior to sale ) LS6 heads off a 2002 Z06. I got the heads complete with springs and valves for $500 with 13,000 miles on them. Ready to bolt on but will be doing some P&P along with milling and valve job. What does everyone think, did I get a good deal on them, let me know. I do know that 02 243 cast heads have longer valves then 03-04 and LS2's, I believe the valves are just slightly longer to compensate for the different cam they had in the motor from GM. Tomorrow comes lifters/gaskets/and timing chain. Damn I am floating on cloud 9 at the moment.

Thanks Now its on to the hard part, picking what cam I want to go with and how much I want to mill. I am thinking 62cc is good enough for me, and go with a custom grind. Up in the air at the moment though, I have a lot to think about on my next two days off which starts tomorrow. I have no fear, me and my trusty friend Captain Morgan should find the right way to go

Oh, I have already ran down that alley. I may just leave the milling alone so I can turbo it down the line. I only want to run about 5-6 lbs of boost but don't want to go too nuts. I know dyno numbers mean nothing but was shooting for around 420-450. 1/4 I want to get around 11.5 - 11.7 with this setup. Ultimate goal is 10.9 - 11.0, then I will be done with the car for life and move on to something else.

For some, I would say you are correct. But my goal is a Z06 or ZR1 or ZL1 when its all said and done. Goal is get the maro flying then get the corvette styling

Now I am just hoping that the heads have the notorious triangles by the plugs to make this deal sweeter. Guess I will have to find out tomorrow. DAMN IT SUCKS WAITING
P.S. I am not a patient person, doesn't help I haven't drove my car is 4 months.
