    Holy Crap! The company I work for makes the plastic for those bags! We had this article floating around work awhile back.

    My building makes all kinds of high performance plastics, but our sister plant next door makes those bags. Frito Lay was so impressed that they were in perfect condition when they washed up on shore, they used it as a marketing tool.

    And believe me, there is waaaaay more that goes into that than just making plastic "sheets"
