How many of you guys could have made it in Pro Racing ?

If you would have had the $$$, resources, the chance how many of you guys could have made it pro drag racing/nascar etc..... ?????

There is no doubt I could have. When I was a teen I took a 2.2 Charger and out run cops, faster cars through curves. I only went to a few dirt track races cause a would get so sick watching those guys race knowing if I had the chance to be out there I would smoke um. O well guess everybody cant live out their dream.

Been there, done that as a crew member in NASCAR. Busch Series, Craftsman Truck Series, Southwest Tour and local Saturday Night Series. Never have drove but would love to have done that, but yeah it takes a boat load of money to get there.

Racing is awesome and I've been very fortunate to have spent some time in the big league.

Yup....Was sponsored by Stovalls Yamaha out of Dallas in the early 70's and raced Motocross.....then of course went full out in drag racing....wouldnt consider myself a "Pro" as I never quit my dayjob.....
If you want to come out of drag racing with a million dollars you better start out with a few million.....

Based on my actual record (45 wins, 22 runner ups, two track championships) over seven years I believe I could have "made it" in professional drag racing had I started at an earlier age.

My buddy and who I always crew for is Ron Esau. He's a west coast legend. But for bigger names: David Green, Randy Lajoie, P.J. Jones, Brendan Gaughan.
Also my buddy Ron is a close friends with other guys so I've got to meet and hang with: Ernie Irvan, Richard Childress, Larry McReynolds, Marc Reno, Jerry Baxter and Walker Evans.
