How to link 2 laptops together?

Short of getting another link-sys router how would I connect my laptop(has ethernet cord from router going into it) to my g/f's laptop so she can get internet on it too??? Is there some kinda USB cord or what that will let us connect our laptops and she have internet?? Thanks

Your router should have at least four ports to connect more than one computer

So buy another ethernet cord???? I'd have to get one thats like 25+ feet as the router is on the other side of the house but oh well.

You could turn your laptop into a gateway to allow another computer (your girlfriends) to connect to it and access the internet. However your laptop would have to have two ethernet ports, and probably a crossover ethernet cable.
