How to get a number blocked on a cell phone?

I called Verizon and was told they can't block a # from calling/texting me.

Then I found out about what they call selective call rejection & that the switch techs are the ones who do it.

So I called again and asked for that as well as a switch tech. I still get no where. I have even emailed them and still get the run around. I am sick & tired of these big companies taking our $, but not doing shit as far as customer service is concerned.

What can I do to get this taken care of?
