What a steal. I'd take it, just too bad I wouldn't have the speakers to do that receiver justice.

If your the type of person to own $45K speakers that is a steal. I'm pretty sure that recieiver new was one and a half times that.

Didn't really answer my question, but ok

Yes i did. Digital is digital. Its 0's and 1's. HDMI, optical, digital coax all pass a digital audio signal. There is no difference between any of them. They all sound the same and none are better than the other 3 as far as audio performance. They are all equal.

8x140wpc and that's at 4 ohms. It's nice for a dedicated theatre room, but not really necessary in a home. Heck, my Denon has almost every feature this thing has, just 40 less watts per channel, and I personally prefer 5.1, and my Denon will rarely reach half it's volume potential.
I've never dealt with high end audio equipment in theatres, but I'd imagine an amp like that would be sufficient.

Mine is all separate amps... A shitload of power, but as said, not totally useably unless you have your alcohol ear protection working. I am still on 5.1 and it seems to work fine, till the controler for the amps puke. Then I will upgrade. Just for shit and giggles, I think I have around 3000 + watts continuous on mine (and yes, I am a junkie)
