How do i get my age to show under my name and location?

Everything fiberglass- 2005 Amberlamps
Up on the top bar go to User CP > Edit Profile > Privacy drop down menu, select show age/date of birth

The age/date thing seems to only work right for some members. Myself and some others have been 37 for a couple of years now. Another member posted awhile back that anything before January 1, 1970 defaults to that date, but I've seen older members with accurately displayed birthdates.
