If person A is 40 and person B is 13, how long ago was it when A was 4 times older than B. The age differance is 27 but im kinda lost after that.

How many times can u subtract the number 2 from 25? Is this a trick question? I was either gonna say none or infinate, cuz u cant divide 25 by 2.

2 Can be subracted 12 times, 12 x 2 = 24, after that your number is 1, you can still subtract 2 but you end up with a negative number. So technically infinite times, but realistically just 12.

Smkn TA got it. The answer is: 4 years ago. If the person is 40 now, 4 years ago he would've been 36. 36/4=9. So person B would've been 9 when person A was 36
