Help me pick out a "stupid phone" i mean smart phon

Ok first off i have Verizon and not changing service providers. With that said what smartphone should i be looking at? Im new to all this crap and don't know what each one can/can't do. Maybe i should just say what im looking for a phone to do though im sure most will do what i want.

I dont text much if at all so a keyboard means jack shit to me unless you think it matters when surfing the web.
Would like it to play mp3's easily-easy upload of my personal music--though im sure most wont have issues with this though i know the i-phones have to use i-tunes etc..
Would like to be able to upload movies that i already have onto the memory card(i know you can DL movies threw verizon but what about putting the movies you own on it?)
Any of them have an fm transmitter to broadcast to your cars radio, know some might use bluetooth to do that but i dont have a car radio with bluetooth, past mp3 players i just used an external fm transmitter with no issue.

I know they have apps out the ying yang but have no idea whats out there lmao so maybe mention a few that i should look into..

Mention any other features that might not be found on certain phones...

I have an iPhone... I love it. Rumor has it that you might be able to get an iPhone with Verizon after the first of the year. A lot of my friends have droid and aren't that happy with them. My geekiest friends/co-workers (I am an IT guy) have droids that they have hacked and they love them. Perhaps it's something in making them more reliable by hacking them, I dunno...

Anyway, I'm on AT&T and you're not changing. I do like my AT&T service and my phone.

Movies and music are easily added and you can rip your current DVDs to work on it with Handbrake (free).

As far as FM transmitter, I have one of [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Flexpod-Mount-System-Apple-iPhone/dp/B001QFXDA2"]THESE[/ame] that I use when in my Bronco and it works great.

i have a lot of friends with android phones that are in love with them. HTC seems to put out a good product.

Droid X or wait until Feb and get either the new Motorola Etna or HTC Incredible HD. Both phones will offer new dual core processors and hi-def screens.

go with an ANDROID based phone.

everyone i know loves them, including myself. Their data plans are cheaper, and google is just kicking ass. I have many friends that dropped their iphone to get an android based phone.

apple monitors and blocks certain apps they deem offensive, google allows all apps no big brother watching as long as it doesnt hurt your phone.

Also android phones have been outselling both rimm(blackberry) and iphone.


My HTC EVO through sprint, is $69 a month unlimited everything and addition $10 for 4G.
and yes 4G makes a huge difference. Through the speedtest.net app, in 3G my download speed is about 1.5mb per second, in 4g i get about 9-12mb per second.

Since your through verizon the droid x would be a great phone, it uses the same screen as my HTC Evo. only difference really is droid x does not use htc sense. HTC sense is a great addin to the UI... and HTC has been making great products.

Basically what i wanted to hear. Im not leaving verizon due to the 20% discount on phone service threw my work. The only thing i dont want to do is say get a droid x and then a month later some new phone comes out with 10 more features that might intrest me lol. I know how that goes in electronics, though im usually behind the curve when it comes to phones as i dont really want to pay for a phone or crazy ass service plans. With that said any new phones you guys aware of that will be coming out soon..
