Heading to Houston Raceway tomorrow..
If it doesn't rain in Baytown..
Anyone else gonna be around?
We have a few folks going. My cousin has a modded Lightning that should be in the 12's and his friend has a low 13 second 04' Mustang.
Another buddy might show who has a blown 02' Mustang that runs high 11's.
It is supposed to be in the 50's. If it doesn't rain, it should be very fast tomorrow night...

I just laugh while driving up there in my 31k car with a warranty that gets 30mpg and is very comfortable.
I'm hoping to get into the 11's. The DR's grab well, and I've always ran well above average in Houston. There are some folks who have run as fast as 11.50's with a C5 Z06 on drag radials with the zip tye mod or a CAI. If I have a strong car, I think I have a shot at mid 11's.
I trapped 113 on a GPS in a 1/4 that I have marked off outside of my neighborhood. Historically my cars trap about 3 or 4 mph slow there as compared to the track, so I should be right in there..

I should have all of those dudes covered except for maybe the 02'.
It's a Vortech blown 02' with all of the bolt-on's, 4.10s and slicks. I don't know what boost he's running, but it runs on race gas and has to be trailored.
Last I talked to the guy, he was running consistent 11.7-11.8's, but he's knows his shit and he's always getting the car faster. No telling what he's doing now..

Just got in..
My best run-
60'- 1.761
1/8- 7.780
mph- 91.64
1/4- 12.054
mph- 115.08
I'm kinda bummed I didn't hit 11's, but we didn't get the cold front I was looking for and the weather kinda sucked. 80ish with ~70% humidity.
The DA worked out to 2033' around the time of my best run, so corrected it comes to this-
Density Altitude = 2033 feet ET MPH
Uncorrected 12.05 @ 115.1
Corrected 11.78 @ 117.73
I hit a bunch of 12.1-12.2's, and a few slower than that. I'm not as consistent on my launch as I would like to be...
The only Ford guy who I knew that showed was my cousin with his Lightning, and he was running 12.90's.
I got beat on my last run by a red LS1 Z28. I don't know what he had, but it sounded good and got me by several lengths on a 12.20 run..Last edited by jking; 04-07-2006 at 11:12 PM.

I did have two races against 03'-04' Cobra's.
One was a very close race where we left about even, and I ran a 12.1x to his 12.3x. I talked to him and he had DR's, CAI, exhaust and a tune. It was a bad ass race.
I ran another that I destroyed. I don't know what he ran or what he had done to it, but he lost by several cars.
There were several C5 Zo6's out there, and most of them were mid 12's.
There was a stock apperaing C6 Z06 that ran an 11.30 at 130-fucking-MPH.
There were 5 or so new Mustang GT's, and the fastest on I saw run went 14.19. The rest ran mid to high 14's.
